Ami Mehta joins the future commerce agency after extensive search during continued growth
Gatineau, Ottawa. May 13, 2019 - SMITH, the Architects of Future Commerce, proudly announce the appointment of Ami Mehta to the role of Chief Financial Officer. The hire adds to SMITH’s increasing presence in the Chicago area. SMITH continues to expand its unique offering of “big agency” capabilities and results at boutique agency speed to the challenges faced by B2B and B2C brands across North America.
Prior to joining SMITH, Ami worked with several private equity backed organizations within the TPG and Waud Capital Partners platforms to build up finance processes, pursue strategic growth and develop organizational scale. Earlier, Ami was Regional CFO for the Americas at Heidrick & Struggles and led corporate M&A for the company.

Ami developed her foundational experience early in her career through roles in private equity investments management, investment banking, and public accounting at firms including Goldman Sachs and Ernst & Young. Ami earned her MBA from Harvard Business School, MS in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois.
